Egypt’s stock market opens Monday on mixed note
The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Monday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:25 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index dipped 20.94 points, or 0.13 percent, to 16,121.8 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.09 percent to 801.46 points, while the EGX100 index slipped 0.24 percent to 2,052 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.18 percent to 2,700 points.
Trading volume on stocks reached around 8.11 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 52.12 million pounds through 1,500 transactions.
Foreign investors were net buyers with 2.5 million pounds, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with 694,900 pounds and 31.5 million pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 0.44 percent to 85.9 pounds.
