Egypt’s stock market sees huge loss for all indices on Wednesday
Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) close the trading session on Wednesday at the red notes, as the main market index EGX30 fell by 1.17 percent to settle at the level of 9702.19 points.
EGX70 EWI index – of small and medium- companies decreased by 1.16 percent to reach 2241.57 points, and EGX100 EWI fell down by 1.07 percent at 3172.06 points.
EGX50 EWI index lost 1891.12 or 0.98 percent, while EGX30 Capped index shrunk at 1.28 percent to close at 12005.55 points, and EGX30 TR for total return shed by 1.25 percent.
The market capitalisation of shares listed in the inside market recorded 682.5 billion Egyptian pounds, losing about 1.7 billion pounds compared to yesterday’s closing level of 684.2 billion pounds.
