Egypt’s stocks close higher, benchmark EGX 30 advances 0.98% on Wednesday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index advancing 0.98 percent to 11,599 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) surged 1.06 percent to 2,303 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped increased 1.04 percent to 14,112 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed 1.27 percent to 3,313 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 1.15 percent at 2,338 points.

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 7 billion Egyptian pounds ($445 million) to close at 690.140 billion pounds on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, the trading value has approximately reached 4.4 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 714.774 million securities executed 57,374 transactions.
