Egypt’s stocks close higher on Monday, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.79%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes finished trading higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index surging 0.79 percent to 10,234 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) advanced 1.09 percent to 2,321 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped hiked 0.86 percent to 12,610 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 added 1 percent to 3,257 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 went up 1.01 percent to 2,119 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Monday posted gains worth 4.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($261.2 million), ending the trading at 659.309 billion pounds driven by local and Arab investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 5.36 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 330.675 million securities executed 36,875 transactions.
