Egypt’s stocks close higher on Monday, benchmark EGX 30 adds 1.15%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 1.15 percent to 11,502 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose by 0.35 percent to 1,960 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced by 0.98 percent to 13,652 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 increased by 0.48 percent to 1,957 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 hiked by 0.50 percent to 2,956 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth around 4.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($269.1 million), ending the trading at 720.792 billion pounds.
