Egypt’s stocks close higher on Tuesday as main index EGX 30 surges 0.98%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) finished trading in green on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index advancing by 0.98 percent to 11,603 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) added by 1.56 percent to 2,152 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped increased by 0.95 percent to 13,771 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 climbed by 1.35 percent to 2,025 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 grew by 1.52 percent to 3,171 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains worth around 11 billion Egyptian pounds ($694.2 million), ending the trading at 748.201 billion pounds triggered by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 782.402 million pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 291.681 million securities executed 29,098 transactions.
