Egypt’s stocks close higher on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 gains 0.49%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has finished trading higher as the benchmark EGX 30 index surging 0.49 percent to 10,854 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.44 to 2,866 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced 0.13 percent to 13,228 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 went up 0.26 percent to 3,845 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 decreased 0.36 percent to 2,385 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted gains worth 2.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($133.7 million), ending the trading at 713.370 billion pounds due to by local and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
