Egypt’s stocks close in red on Tuesday as EGX 30 tumbles 0.88%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has end lower on Tuesday as the benchmark EGX 30 index tumbled 0.88 percent to 10,726 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dived 2.97 to 2,730 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped decreased 1.11 percent to 13,161 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 sank 2.45 percent to 3,710 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 edged down 2.19 percent to 2,327 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted gains worth 7.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($458.3 million), ending the trading at 703.859 billion pounds driven by Arab and foreign investors’ selloff.
