Egypt’s stocks close mixed on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 edges 0.05% up
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has ended in mixed notes on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index inching up by 0.05 percent to 10,432 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) fell by 0.58 percent to 2,658 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 tumbled by 0.58 percent.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains on Tuesday worth 70 million Egyptian pounds ($4.45 million), ending the trading at 697.379 billion pounds backed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
Trading Aggregates
Trading value has approximately reached around 7.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 2.8 billion securities executed 33,713 transactions.
