Egypt’s stocks close mostly higher on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 surges 1.44%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index surging 1.44 percent to 10,206 points.
However, the EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) solely fell, ending the trade 0.45 percent lower to 2,360 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped advanced 1.56 percent to 12,800 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 grew 0.17 percent to 3,322 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 rose 0.41 percent to 2,219 points.

The country’s market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted impressive gains worth 4.7 billion Egyptian pounds ($299.7 million), ending the trading at 649.015 billion pounds boosted by Arab investors’ buying appetite.
