Egypt’s stocks close mostly higher on Wednesday, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.04%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed mostly higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index slightly increased by 0.04 percent to 11,622 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) dipped by 0.01 percent to 2,113 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped went up by 0.43 percent to 13,791 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 0.01 percent to 2,017 points.
The all-embracing index, EGX 100 advanced 0.18 percent to 3,129 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 1.7 billion Egyptian pounds ($107 million), ending the trading at 733.415 billion pounds due to local investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 2.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 350.995 million securities executed 37,561 transactions.
