Egypt’s stocks end higher, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.37% on Monday

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index adding 0.37 percent to 11,589 points.

The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) edged up 1.33 percent to 2,387 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped hiked 0.90 percent to 14,196 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 climbed 1.18 percent to 3,413 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced 1.08 percent at 2,391 points.

Market Cap   

Total market capitalisation has posted gains worth 6.2 billion Egyptian pounds ($394.4 million) to close at 702.976 billion pounds on Monday.

Trading Aggregates            

Also on Monday, the trading value has approximately reached 2.6 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 644.078 million securities executed 54,989 transactions.
