Egypt’s stocks end in green on Tuesday, benchmark EGX 30 climbs 1.94%

Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index climbing 1.94 percent to 10,432 points.

EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped 2.27 percent to 2,374 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped gained 1.76 percent to 12,832 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 increased 1.98 percent to 3,321 points. In addition, the equal weights index, EGX 50 advanced 2.01 percent to 2,162 points.

Market Cap   

The country’s market capitalisation has on Tuesday posted gains worth 9.4 billion Egyptian pounds ($598.1 million), ending the trading at 668.774 billion pounds driven by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading Aggregates            

Trading value has approximately reached around 4.5 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 353.629 million securities executed 45,616 transactions.
