Egypt’s stocks end lower, benchmark EGX 30 falls 1.11% on Sunday
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended mostly lower on Sunday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index falling 1.11 percent to 11,525 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose 0.73 percent to 2,329 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 0.77 percent to 14,057 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 added 0.40 percent to 3,341 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 went down by 0.17 percent at 2,345 points.

Total market capitalisation has incurred losses worth 3.7 billion Egyptian pounds ($235.3 million) to close at 689.602 billion pounds on Sunday.

Also on Sunday, the trading value has approximately reached 3 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 573.738 million securities executed 49,664 transactions.
