Egypt’s stocks end week in mixed notes, benchmark EGX 30 slumps 0.40%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes ended in mixed notes on Thursday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index slumping 0.40 percent to 10,600 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped 2.08 percent to 2,012 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped dropped 0.12 percent to 12,893 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 advanced 1.51 percent to 2,942 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 added 0.97 percent to 2,041 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Thursday posted slight gains worth 215 million Egyptian pounds ($13.7 million), ending the trading at 654.438 billion pounds buoyed by foreign investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 1.64 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 576.687 million securities executed 38,609 transactions.
