Egypt’s stocks finish higher on Monday as benchmark EGX 30 climbs 1.08%
Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) has ended higher on Monday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index growing by 1.08 percent to 11,276 points.
EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) added by 0.75 percent to 2,659 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 inched up by 0.86 percent to 3,641 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has posted gains on Monday worth 6.1 billion Egyptian pounds ($388.4 million), ending the trading at 723.596 billion pounds buoyed by local investors’ buying appetite.
Trading Aggregates
Trading value has approximately reached around 13 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 826 million securities executed 52,000 transactions.
