Egypt’s stocks finish higher on Wednesday, benchmark EGX 30 adds 0.45%
Egypt’s stock exchange’s (EGX) indexes closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX 30 index rising 0.45 percent to 10,513 points.
The EGX 70 EWI index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) edged up 1.06 percent to 2,124 points, while the fixed-weighted index, EGX 30 Capped added 0.19 percent to 12,710 points. The all-embracing index, EGX 100 gained 0.77 percent to 3,037 points. Meanwhile, the equal weights index, EGX 50 grew 0.60 percent to 2,067 points.
Market Cap
The country’s market capitalisation has on Wednesday posted gains worth 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds ($83 million), ending the trading at 655.317 billion pounds buoyed by local and Arab investors’ buying appetite.

Trading value has approximately reached around 3.7 billion pounds, while the trading volume has almost recorded 404.200 million securities executed 33,046 transactions.
