Egypt’s strategic reserves of staple commodities are enough to cover the country’s needs for up 4 or 6 months, the supply ministry said on Saturday.
“Egypt has strategic reserves of wheat enough for four months, until the end of June 2021,” the ministry added in a statement.
The country has sufficient rice reserves for 9.2 months until December, sugar for 3.9 months, cooking oil to last until the end of June, pasta for 5.7 months, Sudanese meat for 24.4 months and poultry for 11.4 months, the ministry added.
