Egypt’s Suez Canal revenues grow 18.5% from January to March 27
Egypt’s revenues from the Suez Canal reported an annual growth of 18.5 percent to $1.613 billion from January until March 27, said the canal’s authority chairman Osama Rabie on Tuesday.
Revenues stood at $1.361 billion from January until March 27, 2021, Rabie added.
He said in a statement that 5,068 vessels flowed through the Suez Canal during the January-March 27 period, an increase of 14.3 percent compared to 4,434 vessels in the same period last year.
