Egypt’s tax revenues from non-sovereign bodies increase to EGP 412bn

Egypt’s tax revenues from non-sovereign entities increased to 412 billion Egyptian pounds during the first half of fiscal year 2019/2020Egyptian Deputy Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk, said.
The country’s economy grew by 5.5 percent in the July-December period of 2019 and 5 percent in the January-March period of 2020, Kouchouk added.
Moreover, the most populous Arab nation achieved a primary surplus of EGP 40.4 billon, compared to EGP 35.6 billion in the year-ago period.
Petroleum trade surplus exceeded 20 billion Egyptian pounds for the first time in years, while government investment allocations increased to 113 billion Egyptian pounds
