Egypt’s Telecom Regulator Offers Today Bid to Strengthen Network in 3 Areas

National Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has offered today a bid on the three mobile phone operators Vodafone, Mobinil and Etisalat in order to strengthen the coverage of North-Sinai and South red Sea ‘Halayib and Shalateen’.

CEO of NTRA Hisham Al-Alayli said the measures of bid will be finalized within 2 month, the total number of Halayib and Shalateen’s populations are 337.000 in 2013 according to Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

Al-Alayli spoke to Amwal Al Ghad saying the finance of the project will depend on Universal the Service Fund in which attached to NTRA.
