Egypt’s telecom operators have declared allowing free international calls and messaging between Egypt and Gaza, enabling customers to contact family and friends across the border.
The initiative is set to be from the 19th of October the 25th .It was launched in coordination with the Egyptian National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA).
Telecom Egypt, Orange Egypt, Etisalat Misr, and Vodafone Egypt declared their free minutes and messages, subject to terms and conditions, on social media late last night.
Egyptian state’s Telecom Egypt announced that people can send donations for humanitarian relief in Gaza through its WEPay application.
Vodafone Egypt said that donations can be made through its Vodafone Cash service. The telecom announced that customers will have five international minutes as well as five international messages free of charge to Gaza.
