Egypt’s total external debt falls by $728 billion in Q1 of 2022/23
Egypt’s total external debt fell by $728 million in the first quarter of the 2022/2023 financial year, central bank data showed on Tuesday.
This drop is the second in a row as Egypt reported earlier external debt of $155.708 billion at the end of June 2022, more than $2 billion lower than $157.801 billion at the end of March 2022.
Egypt’s external debt decreased to 154.980 billion at the end of the first quarter of the 2022/2023 from $155.708 billion at the end of June 2022.
Long-term external debt recorded $127.572 billion, while the short-terms reached $27.408 billion, the central bank added.
