Egypt’s Tourism Min. opens national pavilion at ITB Berlin ’25

Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, inaugurated on Wednesday Egypt’s pavilion at the 2025 international tourism bourse (ITB) in Berlin, one of the world’s largest travel trade fairs, running until March 6, as per a Cabinet statement.

Fathy emphasised the significance of Egypt’s participation in ITB 2025, calling it a key opportunity to promote the country’s diverse tourism offerings and engage with industry leaders.

He highlighted Egypt’s strategy to attract more visitors, particularly from Germany, which has been the top source market for Egyptian tourism over the past three years, particularly in the beach tourism sector.

This year’s ITB Berlin is being held under the theme “the world of travel lives here,” featuring over 5,800 exhibitors from more than 170 countries.
