Egypt’s trade balance deficit fell by 37.2 per cent in January 2024, reaching $2.08 billion compared to $3.32 billion in the same month of the previous year, the Central Agency of for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported on Thursday.
The Egyptian commodity exports declined to $3.46 billion in January 2024, up from $4.10 billion in January 2023, as per the report.
Meanwhile, commodity imports decreased to $5.54 billion in January 2024, down from $7.42 billion during the same month in 2023.
