Egypt’s trade balance deficit rose slightly by 0.7 per cent or $2.73 billion in February 2024, compared to $2.71 billion during the same month a year earlier, Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed on Thursday.
Egypt’s exports fell by 4.7 per cent, reaching $3.36 billion during February 2024, down from to $3.52 billion for the same month in 2023, as per the report.
However, Egypt’s imports value decreased by 2.4 per cent to reach $6.08 billion during February 2024, compared to $6.23 billion for the same month in 2023, the report added.
