Bilateral trade between Egypt and China rose 5.8 percent year-on-year to $5.43 billion during the January-May 2019 period, according to Chinese official statistics.
“Chinses exports to Egypt reached $4.87 billion during the first five months of the current year,” China’s General Administration of Customs (GAC) said in its recent statement on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, China’s five-month imports from Egypt recorded $0.56 billion.
“The volume of trade between Egypt and China hit $1.24 billion in May,” GAC said.
