Egypt’s UPA, UK’s Allmed eye investment in medical supplies

Egypt’s Unified Procurement Authority (UPA) chairman Hisham Stait held talks with the head of UK-based Allmed, a leading renal medical supplies producer, on potential investment and cooperation opportunities, the Cabinet said on Thursday.

Stait said the authority is prioritising localising medical supplies manufacturing to ensure safe, high-quality, and affordable products, while easing treatment burdens for patients.

Allmed’s chairman voiced pride in operating in Egypt, citing the company’s commitment to improving the lives of kidney patients by providing advanced supplies and treatments.

Allmed is one of the world’s top renal medical supplies producers, with broad experience in supporting health systems with specialised solutions, the cabinet added.
