Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA), in partnership with the Egyptian Society of Cardiology (EgSC), received the Gold Medal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) for one of the top five awareness campaigns during Global Heart Failure Awareness Week. The annual competition featured participation from 57 countries, as per a Cabinet statement.
The recognition came for Discover the Undiscovered campaign, which exceeded its target by 230 per cent, reaching over 7,000 citizens across governorates covered by the universal health insurance. The campaign focused on raising awareness about heart failure risks and prevention methods.
EHA Chairman Ahmed El-Sobky highlighted Egypt’s leadership in advanced cardiac interventions, including TAVI, coronary CTO treatment, and rotablation procedures. The announcement was made during the 52nd CardioEgypt Conference 2025.
El-Sobky emphasised plans to strengthen strategic ties with the Egyptian Society of Cardiology as Egypt expands its universal health insurance system, ensuring access to advanced cardiac treatments nationwide.
