El-Khatib leads Egyptian delegation at UAE economic talks

Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El-Khatib, led an Egyptian delegation at the fourth session of the Egyptian-Emirati Joint Economic Committee on February 24-25, as per a Cabinet statement on Tuesday.

El-Khatib is set to meet with UAE’s Minister of Economy, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic ties across different sectors and levels.

Trade between Egypt and the UAE reached approximately $5.5 billion in 2024, with key exchanged goods including agricultural products, iron and steel, cables, machinery, and equipment, the statement added.
