Egyptian cable maker El Sewedy Electric revealed Tuesday that it is negotiating with New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) to establish an electric generating plant from wind in the Gulf of Suez.
El Sewedy further added that it will announce all the required details about the project once it signs contracts with the Egyptian authority.
Earlier in March, El Swedy and Japanese Marubeni signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) to develop the plant.
