Egyptian trade ministry intends to hold the Egyptian-Emirati Joint Economic Committee during the second half of 2016, Minister Tarek Qabil said Tuesday. The committee aims at enhancing trade and investment partnership between Egypt and UAE.
Qabil made these remarks during his meeting with Emirati Economic Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori during his visit to UAE in which he met with a number of heads of large Emirati companies.
The minister stated that the Emirati-Egyptian business forum is set to be held in line with committee’s works. A massive number of Egyptian and Emirati firms are set to take part in the forum to showcase available opportunities to develop mutual investments.
Qabil and Al Mansoori discussed means of cooperation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) field as it is considered one of the key factors behind the success of Egyptian economy. The two parties agreed on exchange of expertise in the field of legislations that enhance SMEs work.
On other side, Minister Al Mansoori expressed his optimism over economic situations in Egypt to be improved as pursuant to government’s exerted efforts to enhance business environment and improving investment climate.
Al Mansoori added that Egyptian market enjoys a lot of potentials to issue prominent investment and touristic opportunities.
