Italian energy giant Eni is set to start natural gas production at Orion X1 well in Egypt’s Eastern Mediterranean region within three years, an official source told the Arab World Press (AWP) last week.
The project has an investment of $130 million, with reserve of natural gas of around ten trillion cubic feet, the source highlighted.
The Italian company expects exporting Egyptian liquified natural gas (LNG) this month, due to drop in Egypt’s LNG demand in winter, Asharq Business reported, citing Eni’s CEO Claudio Descalzi.
