Italian energy giant, Eni announced on Tuesday that the three additional drilling rigs for Agiba Petroleum will be operational operations in the second week of September 2024, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum. These rigs aim to restore Agiba’s production levels.

The announcement was made during a visit by Egyptian Petroleum Minister Karim Badawi to Eni’s headquarters in Italy. The visit underscored the strong partnership between Egypt and Eni and the commitment to enhancing Egypt’s oil production capabilities.
