‘Enough with war … welcome to peace’ Sisi tells Trump in Sharm El-Sheikh

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Monday welcomed US President Donald Trump and his delegation to the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace, emphasising the urgency of ending the war in Gaza.

In a post on his official Facebook page, the Egyptian president wrote that the summit represents “a moment where the will of the people meets the determination of world leaders to end the war in Gaza.”

“The leaders here carry a single message to mankind: Enough with war … welcome to peace,” he added.

The summit in the Egyptian Red Sea resort town brings together regional and international leaders to reinforce the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, coordinate humanitarian relief, and plan reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
