Dr. Galal Moustafa Saeed, Minister of Transportation, has asserted that the ministry will be opening Phase I of Egyptian National Railways (ENR)’s medical centre development project before the end of this June. He added that the costs of carrying out the project – Phase I amount to EGP 150 million.
The minister had held a series of meetings with the ENR executives so as to follow up the project updates. These meetings had been also attended by the ENR medical centre executives and by Wadi El-Neel for Medical Services which is in charge of the project implementation.
“ENR medical centre development project – Phase will be opened within the coming week.” The minister added in a press release made on Thursday
“Phase I includes developing the facades of the medical centre, the clinics compound, the external pharmacies, three floors with 129-bed capacity and the ICU in the fourth floor with 11-bed capacity.”
“It also includes developing the central sterilization department, and 4 operation theatres in the fifth floor.”
“We have carried out about 60% of Phase II of the development project which includes emergency units, ambulances, laboratories, endoscopes, the rest of operation theatres, and 80 beds.”
“The costs of Phase II amount to EGP 150 million.”
