Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy, currently visiting South Korea, attended the signing ceremony of an agreement to establish a petrochemical complex in Ain Sukhna at $4.8 billion.
The complex is expected to provide 50,000 job opportunities. The complex will be carried out by international consortium led by the Korean Company “SK”, and will produce Ethylene and Polythene.
Fahmy emphasized the importance of the role played by the Korean Export Bank in supporting the Korean investments in Egypt.
Fahmy held Tuesday 17/12/2013 talks with his South Korean counterpart Yun Byung on means of bolstering bilateral relations in all fields. Some regional and international issues were discussed as well during the meeting.
