Crisis committee of the Egyptian Tourism Federation met today to discuss the repercussions of Rafah attack on the tourism coming to Egypt; particularly on Sinai and Red Sea which are the important touristic places in Egypt.
Adel Abdel Razek, deputy chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Federation, said the committee has written a worksheet to be submitted to the Tourism Minister Hesham Zazou, to resolve the crisis the tourism sector. It includes several points about the security and the companies’ relations with banks, providing the liquidity and the problems with the insurance and taxes.
Abdel Razek assured that restoring the security is the main factor to help restoring the tourism to its normal rates; referring that the committee called for setting legislations for the protests and sit-in.
The worksheet included the banks’ demands of providing liquidity for the tourism sector, solving its accumulated problems which concern the insurances and taxes, canceling the lawsuits filed against the companies and the hotels till improving the tourism income.
