The Ethiopian-Egyptian Business Council plans to host a delegation from Addis Ababa due to visit Egypt next March, said the council’s head Ayman Essa. The delegation is set to encompass Ethiopian government officials and businessmen.
Essa described the bilateral relations between Cairo and Addis Ababa as positive in the current phase. He emphasized on the importance of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi’s planned visit to Ethiopia, saying it would work on reaching decisive solutions for the ongoing dispute over the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
“The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will not be an obstacle in bilateral relations as Ethiopia had asserted that in case of witnessing any harm to Egypt due to the dam, immediate changes will be implemented.” Essa stated on the sidelines of council’s ceremony for Ethiopian Public Diplomacy delegation headed by Abadula Gemeda.
The President of the council called both parties to make use of the current alluring climate in opening up new markets in Egypt and Ethiopia. He affirmed that the council is currently studying current conditions to flourish the Egyptian industry in Ethiopia.
