EU approves Slovenia’s €257.6m recovery payment
The European Commission has endorsed a positive preliminary assessment of Slovenia’s third payment request for €257.6 million under the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF).
The payment request, submitted on June 28, 2024, covers the completion of eight milestones related to four reforms and four investments, including pension reform and sustainable transport initiatives.
Key measures include a draft pension reform proposal to ensure fiscal sustainability and transparency and the adoption of the Act on Alternative Fuels in Transport to reduce emissions.
The payment will proceed following approval from the Economic and Financial Committee (EFC).
Slovenia’s recovery plan includes €2.68 billion in total, with €1.61 billion in grants and €1.07 billion in loans.
