The Egyptian exports to the European Union (EU) recorded EGP 20.7 billion during the first half of 2013, rose by EGP 3 billion than the first half of 2012.
Italy is the first European country that imported from the Egyptian market at that period at a value of EGP 4.9 billion, followed by the United Kingdom at value of EGP 3.7 billion.
Meanwhile, France ranked third recording EGP 2.5 billion, followed by Germany at a value of EGP 2.1 billion.
The building materials, chemicals and fertilizers, and agricultural crops sectors were the first sectors exported to the EU, while the ready-made garments, furnishings, and food products sectors ranked second.
