Euro area GDP rose by 0.4 per cent in Q3 2024, while the EU’s GDP grew by 0.3 per cent from the previous quarter, according to Eurostat’s latest flash estimate.
This marks an increase from Q2’s growth of 0.2 per cent in the euro area and 0.3 per cent in the EU. Year-on-year, the euro area GDP grew by 0.9 per cent and the EU by 1.0 per cent, compared to the same period in 2023.
Employment rose slightly in Europe, up 0.2 per cent in the euro area and 0.1 per cent in the EU from the previous quarter, reflecting modest job growth.
