European shares decline for second day running

European shares fell for the second day in a row on Tuesday as investors awaited key economic data ahead of the US jobs report due on Friday. The pan-European STOXX 600 index dropped by 0.34 per cent at 8:00 ET (12:00 GMT).

Germany’s DAX fell 0.24 per cent, France’s CAC 40 declined 0.19 per cent, and Switzerland’s SMI dropped 0.74 per cent. In London, the FTSE 100 edged down 0.49 per cent as markets remained cautious in anticipation of the upcoming economic indicators.
