European shares mixed in early Monday trading

European shares showed mixed trends at the start of Monday’s trading session.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index edged down by 0.03 per cent at 3:51 ET (7:51 GMT). Spain’s IBEX 35 gained 0.21 per cent.

Germany’s DAX slipped 0.22 per cent, France’s CAC 40 remained flat, and Switzerland’s SMI fell by 0.20 per cent. Meanwhile, London’s FTSE 100 inched up by 0.03 per cent.
