European shares mostly up after US inflation data

European shares were mixed on Wednesday following the release of US inflation data.

The pan-European STOXX 600 gained 0.30 per cent, with Germany’s DAX rising 0.25 per cent, and France’s CAC 40 up by 0.48 per cent. The UK’s FTSE 100 saw a 0.43 per cent increase. Additionally, the Swiss SMI rose 0.41 per cent.

On the contrary, Spain’s IBEX 35 fell 0.95 per cent.
