European shares rise on Tuesday

European shares advanced on Tuesday by 5:43 ET (9:43 GMT), with the pan-European STOXX 600 index gaining 0.13 per cent.

Positive movement was seen across most regional indices: London’s FTSE 100 rose by 0.20 per cent, Germany’s DAX climbed 0.20 per cent, and France’s CAC 40 increased by 0.15 per cent.

However, Switzerland’s SMI slipped by 0.32 per cent.

Investors are now focusing on the upcoming European Union inflation report, set for release on Friday, which could provide clues about the European Central Bank’s future policy direction amid its current restrictive stance on borrowing costs.
