European shares rose on Thursday, buoyed by robust earnings from Safran and Rolls-Royce, while investors monitored last-minute trade developments following a flurry of tariff announcements by US President Donald Trump.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index was up 0.33 per cent by 8:27 a.m. GMT, with gains seen across major national markets. Germany’s DAX advanced 0.53 per cent, France’s CAC 40 added 0.27 per cent, Spain’s IBEX 35 surged 1.19 per cent, and the UK’s FTSE 100 edged up 0.32 per cent.
Investors remained focused on global trade talks, even as corporate earnings lent support to market sentiment.
