European shares up on Thursday

European shares surged on Thursday at 7:14 ET (11:14 GMT), with the pan-European STOXX 600 index rising by 0.72 per cent.

Germany’s DAX gained 0.53 per cent following positive inflation data of six German states, France’s CAC 40 increased by 0.60 per cent, and Switzerland’s SMI climbed by 0.53 per cent.

Meanwhile, London’s FTSE 100 edged up by 0.29 per cent.
