European stocks advanced cautiously on Thursday, tracking gains on Wall Street in the previous session, with economic data and corporate earnings in focus.
The pan-European Stoxx 600 climbed 0.4 percent in early trade, with retail stocks adding 1.9% while travel and leisure stocks slid 1.1 percent.
Apart from the German DAX DAX, -0.12 percent decline, other indexes rose, with the French CAC 40 PX1, 0.56 percent and U.K. FTSE 100 UKX, 0.10 percent advancing.
