The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell by 1.04 per cent by 6:16 AM ET, with major indices across the region facing losses.
Germany’s DAX dropped 0.64 per cent following data showing a decline in consumer sentiment, while France’s CAC 40 fell 1.33 per cent after a report on negative consumer confidence.
